ATTENTION OREGONIANS

For those in Oregon there are two items that I would like to bring to your attention: An Event and a permaculture housemate request. The first is just west of Portland in my former community of Forest Grove. If you know people in the area, spread the word. There is a a group of amazing folks out there who are working to make the Grange a more active place for the farming and food advocacy community by becoming members and using the space to activate community and host a film series. The organizers lent me the film GROW before I left Oregon and it was so inspiring I could watch it weekly.
If you are not in the area, I recommend:
1. Discover your local Grange. See what is happening and possibly get involved.
2. Get a hold of the film GROW and watch it with friends, family, and farmers.
The second I discovered on the greenhorns blog about permaculture farmers seeking a housemate near Corvallis.
To see the details…
The Event:

The presentation will conclude with a showing of ‘Grow!’, a 50-minute documentary film that captures the energy, passion and independence of a fresh crop of young farmers: http://growmovie.blogspot.com/
